This temple of Sarsa Devi Mata is built at a distance of 30 kilometers from Dausa and 90 kilometers from Alwar in Rajasthan. The idol of Mata is situated in a cave in this temple surrounded by hills on the walking route from Golaka Bas in Alwar district. Earlier, apart from the Mata temple, there was a Shiva temple, Tibara, kitchen and Dharamshala, which had fallen into disrepair.But now after getting the renovation done by the Trust, there is a huge hall in front of the temple, beautiful devotee residence, guest house, kitchen, tin shed, common bath, office, beautiful garden etc. For the last 28-30 years, the Trust has been providing services to the learned Pandit Mata. Arrangements for puja-aarti and bhog are being made both daily.
Say Jai to Kuldevi Sarasa Mata
This temple of Sarasa Devi Mata is quite ancient. When the worship of Mata started, by the grace of Mother Goddess, the wishes of all the devotees who came started getting fulfilled and gradually the number of devotees coming to Mata started increasing.
There is a steady flow of devotees coming here even during normal days, but during Navratri there is a huge crowd of devotees. Devotees visit this Mata on foot. When the wishes are fulfilled, devotees also perform Goth, Sawamani, Devi Jagran. Along with the Shiva family, idols of many other gods and goddesses are also installed in the temple premises.
Shri Sarasa Devi Charitable Trust has also been formed by the devotees for the last 28-30 years for the development of the temple. The Trust has also made arrangements for food and overnight stay for the devotees there. The trees and plants in the temple premises now attract the devotees. The natural beauty of this place gives great relief to the devotees.
Though Sarsa Mata is worshiped in many societies, but the Samajbandhus of Badaya, Bussar, Mali and Bavariya Gotra of Khandelwal Vaishya community worship Sarsa Mata considering her as their family deity.
To reach this temple, one can reach it by roadways, private buses as well as by private means via Alwar (90 km from), Dausa (30 km from) or Andhi (35 km from).
